Lew Nelson, City of Tulare Public Works Director

Mr. Nelson has demonstrated exceptional leadership in supporting actions that encourage environmental resource management, and has been instrumental in implementing a variety of smart growth and livability concepts in Tulare County.

He has been a leader in the City of Tulare and in the San Joaquin Valley, most notably for his work in resource conservation and renewable energy. More importantly though, is Mr. Nelson's "get it done" attitude, and willingness to help the other city departments as they work to implement Blueprint Principles.
